After cleansing, squeeze a few drops into a cotton ball/pad and then apply to the face gently. The lemon scent was refreshing and enjoyable. However, the toner's high AHA BHA content caused minor irritations when used twice daily - will try once daily. Overall, my tone appears slightly brighter and seemed to work well on combination skin.
