It certainly does help calm the redness of my skin compared to a lot of other cleansers that strip too much. It's a gentle cleanser, so I'd probably pair it with a preliminary balm or cleansing milk in order to deep clean. Otherwise, I'd buy it again if I wanted a simple cleanser.
