The scrub has a rich, creamy texture with fine walnut particles that give noticeable exfoliation without feeling excessively rough when used gently. After trying it for a while, my skin felt much smoother and softer, especially on rough areas like my elbows and legs, while the skin didn't have that overly stripped feeling some body scrubs leave behind. My skin is combination, and I found it comfortable when used about once or twice a week. The white musk scent is pleasant and gives it a spa-like feel, although it may be stronger than preferred if you're sensitive to fragrance. I usually follow with body lotion afterward, particularly on drier areas. Overall, it does a good job of combining cleansing, exfoliation and some moisture, but I wouldn't expect it to dramatically fade dark spots.
