The applicator makes this much easier to use than a typical scalp serum because I can apply it directly to specific areas without getting the product all over my hair. The formula feels lightweight at first and gives an immediate cooling, minty sensation that makes my scalp feel refreshed and comfortable. My scalp tends to get oily but can also feel dry and tight at times, and this gives some hydration without making the roots noticeably greasy. After trying it consistently for a while, I noticed my scalp felt healthier and my roots looked a little more refreshed, but I would not claim a dramatic change in hair growth or shedding. I usually apply it to a clean, towel-dried scalp, massage it in with the brush, and let it absorb before styling. Using less product helps prevent the sticky or clumpy feeling some reviewers mention.
